BRITISH ASSOCIATION OF DERMATOLOGISTS (BAD) MEETINGS & EVENTS CODE OF CONDUCT
The British Association of Dermatologists (BAD) is committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment at all our meetings and events. This Code of Conduct applies to all attendees, including members, delegates, exhibitors, suppliers and contractors, speakers, staff, and any other stakeholders involved in our events.
Expected Behaviour
All participants are expected to:
• Treat others with courtesy, dignity, and respect, fostering a professional and inclusive atmosphere.
• Engage in respectful and constructive discussions, even in cases of disagreement.
• Follow all venue rules and applicable laws.
• Respect the rights, safety, and well-being of others at all times.
Unacceptable Behaviour
The BAD does not tolerate:
• Harassment, discrimination, bullying, or intimidation, including but not limited to that based on gender, age, disability, ethnicity, sexual orientation, religion, or professional background.
• Sexual harassment, including unwelcome advances, inappropriate touching, or suggestive comments.
• Aggressive, abusive, or threatening language or behaviour towards staff, delegates, or other participants.
• Disruptive behaviour that interferes with sessions, networking, or the experience of others.
• Unauthorised recording or distribution of event content, including presentations and discussions, without prior consent. Do not record content or download eposters.
Reporting and Consequences
If you experience or witness unacceptable behaviour, please report it immediately to a BAD staff member or event organiser. Reports will be handled confidentially and sensitively.
BAD reserves the right to take appropriate action in response to breaches of this Code of Conduct. This may include issuing a warning, expelling the individual from the event without a refund, or, in serious cases, reporting the matter to relevant authorities.
Exhibitors, sponsors, and suppliers are also expected to adhere to these standards, and violations may result in removal from the event and future restrictions on participation.

By attending a BAD event, all participants agree to abide by this Code of Conduct and support a positive and professional event experience for all. We appreciate your cooperation in upholding these standards.
